Director of Golf and PGA Professional: Larry Muskopf
In the heart of our prestigious club, Larry Muskopf stands as the driving force behind the golfing renaissance that has unfolded over the past three years. Hailing originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Larry’s journey is a captivating tale of passion, dedication, and an unyielding love for the game of golf. Larry’s introduction to golf took root in the captivating landscapes of Winter Park, Colorado. After high school, his fascination with the game led him to Pole Creek Golf Course, under the mentorship of Kim Anders HGP. Larry’s career unfolded, eventually bringing him to Texas after two decades in Colorado.
For the past three years at Heath Golf and Yacht Club, Larry has been the architect of our golfing legacy. His influence extends far beyond the greens, as he has meticulously coordinated over 850 tournaments. From the exhilaration of Men’s Golf Association tournaments to the prestige of club championships and the community spirit of charity events, Larry’s touch is evident.
His commitment to excellence is showcased in his involvement with high-profile tournaments, including the Cliff Harris JDRF, Southwest Transplant Alliance, the 1997 US Mid-Amateur Championship, and the 2003 and 2019 Texas Amateur Championship, among others.
Larry’s dedication is not confined to the golf course alone. A family man at heart, he and his wife Amy have celebrated two decades together. Their three daughters—Ella, embarking on her senior year at Texas State University, and Evie and Georgia, adding youthful energy to Rowlett High – complete the Muskopf family.
